"Power Girl"

Was researching comic book characters online and stumbled across this strip.

It inspired me to go hunt down the "Power Girl" action figure. She is available in 2 waves (10 and 75th Anniversary) and packaged in different poses with different cards. I found both at China Square Central but I settled on the anniversary version because it was cheaper.

Insane vid... I'm at a loss for words. Very cool reenactment of the graphic novel.

Stands

Another reason why chunky figures are better... they are solid enough to stand on their own 2 feet.
Got the "Fantastic Four" stand from the weekend bazaar last Sunday at China Square Central specially for "Mr Fantastic". The "Mysterio" figure is a new acquisition today and it came with the "swirls of smoke".

I like this figure because of the cool dome and 3 faces that you can switch at the press of a button. My favourite face out of the 3 is the monster face.

I need to work on my imagination. My figure poses are starting to look quite standard and boring.

"Mr Fantastic" & "The Thing"

Checked out the weekend bazaar at China Square Central today and chanced upon this "Marvel Legends" box set. I've been wanting to add "The Thing" to my collection for the longest time but could never find a nice "Ben Grimm" figure. I have to say that this sculpt is one of the best ever and at S$20 for the box set... it was an offer I couldn't refuse.

I decided to take out the figures from the packaging as the card wasn't in mint condition and I was tempted to play with the enlarged hand of "Mr Fantastic". The large hand is freaking cool but heavy... resulting in the figure not being able to remain standing.

"Batman Gotham Knight"

Purchased this DVD set last week but only got down to watching the animated movie tonight. What can I say? I'm speechless... the illustration style and storylines... just what I like. Definitely a worthwhile purchase.

"The Death of Captain America"

Visited Border's today wanting to take advantage of their member sale to procure a copy of the graphic novel "300". Unfortunately, it was sold out but didn't go home empty handed as I stumbled across "The Death of Captain America". The cover was enough to entice me to part with my $.

Wallpaper

Came across this freaking cool wallpaper on GeekChicDaily! I'm definitely going to purchase this mural for my apartment wall. Should I put it in my living room or my spare room cum toy museum???

"Darkseid"

Ranked as the #6 villain of all time. I procured this figure off eBay at a reasonable price of S$15. It was retailing at double the price at China Square Central. The buyer described the packaging condition as 9/10 but you can imagine my initial shock when I collected the item and saw the "battle damage" of the card. I got over the distress because of the low price.

Decided to take out "Darkseid" due to the card condition. The figure is now on display with the diorama that came with it.

Stumbled across this cool list while researching Darkseid. I don't consider myself a guru but I didn't agree with the position of a few villains. Wonder what criteria they base their final selections and rankings on?

"Juggernaut"

Bulk is not only Hulk. Did not appreciate the casting of Vinnie Jones as "The Juggernaut" in the X-Men movie but I do like this figure. I have seen this on sale as a loose item but the paint job is faded. A pity...
