The "Hellboy" incident

Decided to set up and submit one more entry for the "Origins" theme.

The summoning of "Hellboy" has been a scene that I have wanted to do for a long but procrastinated. It does help that "Billy" made me a young "Professor Bruttenholm". LOL.

"Master and Apprentice"

"Padawan Obi-Wan" is my first SHF "Star Wars" fig which I got it on sale from "Hobbylink". I wouldn't have gotten it either wise as SHF prices are crazy.

I don't have "Qui-Gon Jinn" so I resorted to using "Old Man Kenobi". I think I need more "Jedi robes". I don't have much "Prequel" figures also and that's why I ended up using "Hellboy" figs with DC's "Adam Strange".

"Rocket Hellboy"

Never saw this version of "Hellboy" in the "graphic novels" but I got him at a cheap price. 

I hope that "Mezco" revisits "Hellboy" with their new body moulds that they are using for the DC and "Marvel" characters.

B.P.R.D.

Needed practise doing "Whitehot" shots and attempted this display featuring the "trinity" from B.P.R.D.

I really love my "Mezco" figs.

"Ponder"

I didn't win "Round 7" of this year's edition of "Photo Kombat" but I did go further than I managed last year.
Need to do a quick "Thank you" speech. Thanks to "Boog" for starting the A.C.B.A. "movement" and all my buddies for their continuous support... "Jeremy", "Muhammad", "Day", "Kirby", "Marc", "Cedric", "Derrick" and "Billy".

The "pencil" prop is so "dope". Will I be competing in the "World Championship Tournament" this year? I really don't know.

"Firestarter"

This would have been my round 4 entry for "Photo Kombat". The "Elementary" theme really had me "stumped". Was originally going with "ice" but ended up doing this "Liz Sherman" pic.

"Thank you"

Pretty much my version of a "Thank you" speech. My thanks to "God" for sure because I went from almost not joining the WCT to being ranked #10 in the world. Big "shout out" to "Jeremy Lee" and "Bill Maru" for their help. I wouldn't have entered or gotten through all 3 rounds without encouragement from "Day", "Muhammad", "Mr Bacon", "Derrick Borecky" and "Kirby Pags". Not forgetting to thank the judges ("Boog", "Pharaoh", "Slings", "John Connor" and "Todd") for their time and effort during the entire tournament. Keep grinding!!!

"Confession"

Thought of this idea of having "Hellboy" confessing his sins to a "Priest" whilst making my way home on the public transport. Funny how an idle mind can have inspiration.
Never been inside a "Confessional" before but I have seen them in the "movies" and this is the closest I could set up a "booth".

"Johann"

"Johann" is one of my favourite B.P.R.D. characters. Used a bunch of new props with this display.

"Canary"

Went through my prop haul yesterday and found tons of "gems" including this "bird cage".
Not sure which figure the "cage" came from but it is quite unique. Decided to pose it with "Roger" whom I took off the B.P.R.D. vest for the first time.

"Book of Gods"

Finally got the "Book of Gods" that came with "Roger". Didn't make sense to do this scene with "Roger" though so I used "Abe" instead.

"He's not dead. He just doesn't have a body anymore."

Been wanting to make this "cut-out" for the longest time. I finally got down to printing and cutting the deflated "Johann".

I am not good at odd shapes and this was a pain to make.

"The Claw"

Finally got a chance to redo this display as I wasn't happy with the result of "Lobster Johnson" killing a "baddie" previously.

I like the new "cut-outs" I made including "Lobster's" signature "calling card".

"Death claims all"

Spoiler alert!!!
Been wanting to do this display ever since I came across this "cut-out" online but I had to wait till "Death" arrived. I hate that "Hellboy" is dead but "Mike Mignola" has "guts" to kill off his "Cash Cow" but I guess that makes him really stand out from the "cliche" that is the industry where the characters always come back to life.

I threw in a few new "props" I bought from "China" but they are not very obvious as I had to crop off the sides.

"Introduction"

Had this "cut-out" made and it was a "no-brainer" that this display had to be done.

It seems weird to have them shaking left hands but it makes sense when you have a "Right Hand of Doom".


I'm surprised the "coat" belonging to "Gambit" fits "Abe" perfectly. The "jacket" from "Wolverine" on the other hand doesn't fit "Liz" that well but I think I made it work.

"Under observation"

Been wanting to do this scene since I saw it in the novel.

I don't make "dioramas" so I used a "cut-out" to replicate the scene instead with just the "Liz Sherman" figure in the "foreground". This is really the beauty of A.C.B.A.

"The Claw"

"Lobster Johnson" is one "badass".

Besides being fearless and a "sharpshooter", he burns his "kills" with his "claw" symbol. I'm still terrible with the white "backdrops". 

"Johann"

Probably my last entry for the "Whitehot" theme. This time I used "Johann" in a "vanilla" pose with just his "Ectoplasm" hand "prop".

"Pancakes"

Got the idea and "cutout" for this display from a "Hellboy" scene from when he was a young boy reading a "comic" while eating "pancakes". This is my 2nd entry for the "Whitehot" theme.

"Banner"

"Kroenen" is one of my fav "Hellboy" character and figure. This is the movie version and I wish "Mezco" had made a comic accurate version before they stopped the line.
The "banner" is from the "Major Maxim" figure from the "Danger Girl" line of toys.
