Collected the "Sideshow" comiquette from "Simply Toys" this evening. So much for the estimated January 2011 collection. No pics to show this round as it is still sealed inside the box but I did take the display set at the shop.
I must be getting old... I didn't have the stamina or appetite to lug the heavy comiquette back home from "PS" by train. I opted to take a taxi instead at a pricey S$15.80. It was worth it though.
I will update this blog with pics once I secure my own apartment.

"Iron Monger"
"Iron Monger" is not a creative villain as he is merely a copycat "Iron Man" but in a larger form. As an action figure though, this fig is bulky and appealing.
I'm happy that I got this movie fig cheap.

"Arkham Asylum: Scarecrow"
Just got home from watching the "Green lantern" movie. There was delay as there was a fault with the train.
I have not played this game but I have seen the trailers for "Arkham City" and the artwork for this series is nifty. I was keen on the "Bane" from the next wave but I got this "Scarecrow" at a reasonable price together with "Cyclone".
I love the new blister packaging. It is hardy and easier to pack and move compared to the cardboard packaging.

"Wildcat" reloaded
I was ecstatic to get "Wildcat" in his trademark black MISB for S$5. Ridiculous!!! The only reason I procured the purple variant previously was for the "Chemo" upper torso. I'm totally digging this version.

"Batman & Son: Dick Grayson"
The title says it all. "Dick Grayson" takes on the mantle of "The Bat" with "Damian Wayne" replacing "Tim Drake" as "Robin". Explosive storyline with the death of "Bruce Wayne" forcing "Dick" to become "Batman" and trying to tame the wild offspring of "Bruce" and "Talia al Ghul".
I sometimes buy figures from graphic novels that I have yet to read but I have read "Batman & Son" and it is a good read. The "Batman" from this series is aesthetically pleasing and the cape is bada**. I'm still hunting for a "Tim Drake" fig. I may consider getting "Damian" as "Robin" if I come across one.

Top 100 Comic Book Heroes
Finally!!! A list to compliment the one for Villains. The top 2 heroes was predictable as I guessed them even before reaching them on the list.
"DC Armory: Batman"
I have never seen this fig before and I have to say it is awesome. If I ever come across it, I will grab it without a doubt.

"Kingdom Come: The Spectre & Norman McCay"
"Kingdom Come" is an Apocalyptic storyline that makes use of these 2 characters as narrators, witnesses and antagonists. Throughout the novel, they debate and differ in opinions regarding what they are observing and the fate of mankind. A must-read for avid Comic fans.
This box set compliments my "Green Lantern", "Hawkman" and "Batman" of the same series.
