"Daydreaming and playing with toys"

Can't recall what triggered this idea but it is very apt since daydreaming and playing with toys was what I did a lot as a kid.

I don't really daydream now but I still play with toys. LOL.

Was going through the pile of "cut-outs" that "Mindless" passed to me and was inspired to create this display.

Comic accurate fig from the novel "Superman: Red Son" which is one of my "all-time" favs.

"The Batman"

"Vic" helped me get this "Lego" version of "Bats" cheap. It was kind of a "no-brainer" to do this display because of the "cut-outs" that "Mindless" gave me.

"Decepticons espionage"

"Soundwave" is my favourite "Decepticon" since I was a kid. It was a no "brainer" when I dug out this "cut-out" from the lot that this display needed to be done. Here I have "Soundwave" spying on a military base.

"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!"

Got a big lot of "cut-outs" from "Mindless" today. The first one I wanted to use was this together with "Jack O'Lantern" fig which I've never used in a display till today.

"I love my city"

NYC is my 2nd home. I've been there 3 times already but I will definitely go again.
"Mark Nolan" gave me inspiration for this pic. Here is my sunset version.

"More friends!!!"

I enjoyed the "Adventure Time" display so much that I decided to complete my collection by buying the "Lumpy Space Princess" with "Brad" 2 pack from "Simply Toys" today.

Quickly added the 2 characters to last night's display.

Happy that I have the complete set. I'm planning on getting the 5" versions of "Finn" and "Jake".

"Bizarro World"

"Batzarro" is from the "Bizarro World"... an alternate universe where DC characters are bizarre and opposite versions of themselves.

I wasn't planning on getting this fig but it was only S$15 without the "batarang" thus I couldn't pass it up. I posed him with the "Lego" version of "Batman" as an accessory.

"Adventure Time!!!"

I don't own a TV or subscribe to "Cable" but I thoroughly enjoy this "cartoon" whenever I have the chance to tune into the "Cartoon Network".

I originally intended to get the 5" versions of "Finn" and "Jake" but "Finn" was not available for sale at either the "Plaza Singapura" or "Raffles Place" outlets of "Simply Toys". I opted for the smaller versions as the set was more complete and had "Fiona" too.

"Joker & thugs"

I've done a few pics with these "Clown thugs" but this is my first with the "Joker". Figured I had to try a red background to provide contrast with the weapons they are wielding.

"At the movies"

The "Blob" is one of my favourite BAFs from "Hasbro". Decided to do this scene where he brings in a "Popcorn" cart into the "theatre".

I made the cone myself. The "3D" glasses are meant for "Lobo" and do not fit the "Blob" but I managed to make it work.

"Danboard? Why are you in the storeroom?"

It took a lot of effort to assemble these "kit models" but it was worth the time.
The key attraction to buying this "Danboard" was that he can be displayed to look like he is in storage. The limbs on this "Yotsuba" are more dynamic compared to the "Revoltech" version.

"Robot rock"

After some drama, I finally collected the "Daft Punk" figs that I pre-ordered.

Took me a few days to get down to posing them. They were impossible to photograph because they are mainly black but I worked my magic after spending most of the night "tinkering".

It would have been cool if their helmets had programmable LEDs.

"Sneak up in a box tactic"

"This is the "Sneak up in a box" tactic. You've never heard of it?".

Got inspiration from the "Snake" fig from "Metal Gear" to do this display. Only "Deadpool" can pull this display off.

"Game time!!!"

Finally got my own "Playstation" prop that "Mindless" had for the longest time. Decided to feature "Michelangelo" playing on the "console" with his "Nunchucks" hanging around his neck.

Added an "Easter Egg" into this display.

"Introducing Killer Penguins with freakin' lazers on their backs!!!"

A play with "Dr Evil's" schemes to take over the world. Here I set up a display where the "Penguin" is introducing his "killer penguins" to "Mr Freeze".

Strangely enough... one of the penguins really has a contraption on its back.

"Crossbones"

Have done a team pic with the "Thunderbolts" version of "Crossbones". I haven't really done pics with this regular version because I didn't like the "Hydra" rifle he came with. I decided to get this 1:6 scale "Grenade Launcher" because I thought the size would fit this fig and it did. Only issue is that the handle is too thick for him to grasp.

"Surprise!!!"

Spent an hour on this display. It was hard getting everything in place and balanced.

After posting the pic on the A.C.B.A. group, I was informed by "Fernandotron" that the "Spidey Sense" doesn't work with "Venom" so I had to redo the pic.

"DC Vs Marvel"

DC has stronger storylines but their glory days in terms of toys are over. The recent waves of "Mattel" toys are terrible. Makes me long for the days of the "DC Superheroes" and DCUC lines.

"Marvel" has the advantage when it comes to their licensed toys and movies.

"Strike a pose"

Was inspired to do these displays. This is the classic "3 Monkeys" pose.

"Overpowered!!!"

It's "DCember" and I wanted to feature a few rarely used figs.

The "John Stewart" fig has a neck "mod". I wish the "Amazo" fig was bigger like "Lobo".

"Xmas"

I never did an "Xmas" display last year and I'm compensating by doing 2 this time.

"Arcade fight"

Finally took out the "Shockers" to play with and posed them with the "Pac-Man" machine.

"Mindless" inspired this display by mentioning the fist holding the coin.

"Attack!!!"

Decided to do funny pics featuring interactions between "Yotsuba" and "Danboard". These scenes really happened in the "Manga".

"Kalibak Vs Atom Smasher"

Got the "Atom Smasher" C&C because it was going at a reasonable price from "Rick". It is a welcome addition to my JSA team but I decided to do a battle scene with "Kalibak" instead of a JSA team pic.

"Lobo & Dawg"

This is an SDCC exclusive that I finally got my hands on. Early birthday gift for myself.

The details on "Lobo" are astounding. He comes with 3D glasses and 3 weapons. Impressive. "Dawg" is no "slouch" either.

"Wonderful"

Wanted to do a duo display featuring "Spidey" and "Daredevil".

Ended up being inspired to do a "B-side" too.

"X-Men: First Class"

"Simply Toys" is still having a "Moving-out sale" at their "Raffles Place" outlet. I decided to grab this "Minimates" set because "Iceman" and "Angel" are cool figs.

"Ultimates"

Read the "Ultimates" novel today and had to do this display.

"Iceman" was one of my fav "X-Men" growing up. "Bobby" is sadly under-utilised in the "Marvel" universe and the figs of him have been disappointing. The movie fig of the "Human Torch" is pretty good on the other hand.

"Reluctant alliance"

In the midst of the "Secret Invasion", "Fury" offers "Deadpool" money to infiltrate the "Skrulls" to find out how to defeat them.
This is my version of what transpired during the negotiations for this week's team "Unlikely teams".

"Joker Thugs"

My first "Xmas" gift of the year arrived from "BD Earl". He got me 2 "Joker Thugs" in exchange for the "S.H.I.E.L.D. agents" I sent him. Since he was ordering from "Amazon", I paid for 2 more.

Turns out that the figs he got me were actually the "Joker" disguised as a "Thug" fig instead of the regular "Thug". It was a pleasant surprise as it is my preferred version.
