"Comic-Con" 2010 exclusive

Got my hands on this year's "Comic-Con" special edition 3.75” "Captain America" figure. This figure is styled in the character’s World War II gear. It is a nice compliment to my 6" version. This is exactly the figure featured in "Toyfare" that I bought previously.
Here it is with its cover intact and still sealed. I couldn't bear to open it and I'm leaving it mint. Thus... I posted a stock picture of the figure and its card instead.

"Hawkman"

What is it about figures with wings? There is this aura associated with wings and the words... "majestic", "angels" and "flight" comes to mind.
I have been eyeing "Hawkman" for awhile. There are numerous versions but this "DC Universe Classics" edition is the best in my opinion. The wingspan of this figure is amazing and the mace/shield combo sealed the deal.

"Bane"

Had an inkling that I should pop by "Toy Outpost" today and I was rewarded with the sighting of this gorgeous figure. After careful inspection, I knew I had to have this and promptly paid for it.
In my opinion, "Gotham City" has the greatest baddies in the entire comic universe. With "The Joker", "Mr. Freeze" and "Bane" in my stable of Batman villains... I want to add "The Riddler", "The Scarecrow" and "Two-Face" to my collection.

"Supergirl" spotted!!!

Freaking awesome!!! I spotted my "Supergirl" Kotobukiya statue in the TV show "The Big Bang Theory". The specific episode was episode 14, "The Nerdvana Annihilation", from season 1. My first glimpse of it was when it was situated on the bookshelf in the apartment shared by Leonard and Sheldon. Leonard was later packing it up for sale to the comic book guy.
Does that imply that I own a show prop? Haha...

Display stand

My feeble attempt to fashion "Storm" in a flying pose using a cheapo suction hook failed miserably. I bought this display stand from eBay as a result.

"War Machine"

This figure was a Walmart exclusive. Very good sculpt and detailing. I saw it at Plaza Sing but it was retailing for an insane S$70! I will take a raincheck on this awesome figure.

"Stormtrooper" T

My "Star Wars" collecting days are over but I couldn't resist this T when I saw it. Thanks to "Dr Giggles" for the heads up that "Simply Toys" has a shipment of Ts. HMV has a better collection of comic Ts though.

"Storm"

I was never a fan of white figures but the sculpt and the cape of "Storm" was too beautiful to pass up. She is the first addition to my budding "X-Men" collection.
Did you know that lighter fluid can be used to remove stains on figures? That explains the presence of the Zippo tin behind the figure. I will get down to cleaning her when I have spare time.
Update: Finally got down to using the lighter fluid in my attempt to remove the stains. Crap!!! The light blue paint came off. WTF. Folks... you were warned!!!

"Supergirl" Kotobukiya statue

She is mine! Bwaaahahahahhahahaha...
I am in two minds over whether to take her out to display or keep her in the box... doh! I will store her in my cabinet for the moment until I make a decision.

"Hellboy"

This 10" bad boy has been hidden in my cabinet for years. With the new display case, I decided it was time that he saw daylight and here he is in all his glory.
The smaller version is staying in the blister packaging safe in my cabinet.

Acrylic case

"Amazing Swift" got me this freaking awesome acrylic case to protect my display space. Goodbye dust, smoke and heat.

"Supergirl"

Was originally planning to buy the "Supergirl" action figure from the Michael Turner series but passed on it because the paint job wasn't good. I turned my attention to the statue version instead but I've set my sights on the Kotobukiya statue.

"X-Men"

Now that I've completed my "Fantastic Four" collection... I have thought long and hard. It is time to start adding select "X-Men" characters.
"Gambit" is definitely my MUST buy "X-Men" figure. Why? He is rare and I love his mutant powers.

"Colossus" is one that I'm dying to get. I've seen it in Singapore but it is retailing at an exorbitant price. The search continues...

"Beast". I like him because he's an intellectual and awkward.

"Cyclops" is one of my fav characters but I have yet to come across one with a to die for face and sculpt.

"Human Torch"

Hunted high and low for the "Human Torch" to complete my "Fantastic Four" collection. Mission accomplished!!!

"Mr. Freeze"

Is it a coincidence or fate? I just blogged about "Batman" villains last night and I saw this "Mr. Freeze" figure staring at me this evening. As usual... I quickly grabbed it.
It's not the "DC Superheroes" series "Mr. Freeze"... but it will make do for the moment :p
Just realised that both are made from the same mould... the "DC Superheroes" version has the better paint job and icicles.

"Batman" villains

"Batman" has really cool villains. Besides the all-time fav "Joker", there are numerous others.
I discovered this new site with insane action figure pictures. I reckon he uses a macro lens to capture every intricate detail of the figures he collects and he has a really huge collection I have to add.
Going through his collection... I'm tempted to go hunt out "Mr. Freeze", "Two-Face", "Scarecrow" and "Bane".
