"Arkham Asylum: The Joker"

Was hoping to snap up the "Superman" fig from the "New Krypton" comic book series but it was sold out. I ended up purchasing "The Joker" from the "Arkham Asylum" computer game franchise.
I love this sinister variation of this iconic "Batman" villain versus the cartoony one.

"Riddle me this"

My new wallpaper. The "Wonder Woman" one was great... but I needed a change.

"SDCC 2011"

Highlights from "SDCC 2011" even though I was not physically there. Thanks to "Michael Crawford"... toy reviewer extraordinaire.
My "must-haves" include the "Green Lantern" movie prop which I will likely put in my livingroom or bedroom. "Steve Rogers"... the "Super Soldier" and you can never have too many well sculpted "Hals".
My "thinking about it" list includes the excellently detailed "Rogue".
My "I wish I could have this but not practical" list.
The quirky list.

"Sinestro Corps"

I own "Green Lanterns" and their "Red", "Orange" and "Black" adversaries but this is the first "Sinestro Corps" foe that I have in my collection. Thanks to "Vincent" for selling it loose to me.
My only discontent with this fig is that there is not enough clearance between the lantern and the handle for the object to comfortably rest in his hand.

"Toyman"

The "Toyman" is a "Superman" villain who turned to crime due to circumstance. This is one of his many toys that he uses for his evil purposes.
I like the colours of the fig and the awesome accessories.

"Aquaman"

I love the gold tunic versus the cartoony orange that is his classic look. The trident could have been less unwieldy but I think they tried to put lots of details on it.
I will pose him next to my armoured and "Blackest Night" versions.

"Batgirl"

This is the classic "Batgirl" with the black, blue and yellow colour combination. A contrast to the "Alex Ross" version in black and darker yellow.
They are different in detail with this "Batgirl" having interesting bat shaped boots and brighter paint job versus the full black ensemble with a modern belt and symbol.

"Gambit"

I already own a custom "Gambit" in my collection but I wanted this character in his classic attire.
I would have liked to keep him MISB but with my pending house moving, I took him out and sealed him in a Ziplog bag. I will update this blog with the loose fig when I settle down in my new home.

"Blackest Night: Deadman"

The first time I saw "Deadman" was in the "Blackest Night" graphic novel. The sculpt and price enticed me to add this fig to my "Blackest Night" collection.
A no-brainer really. I will consider unpacking him when I move to my new apartment.

"Ultimate Hulk"

Paid "David" from "Invasion Toys" for this monster last Thursday but only collected it today. It was worth the wait as this fig is awesome and it has a better skin tone compared to the earlier version which was known to resemble a sunburnt "Grey Hulk". For his size, he is surprisingly light. This is my only complaint regarding the fig. Oh!!! The twisties they used to secure the fig in the packaging gave me fits!!! By the time I managed to unwind them, I will covered in perspiration. I wish they would do away with them.
"Stan Lee" intended the "Incredible Hulk" to be grey when he created this character. However, issues with maintaining a consistent colour on the comic pages resulted in the legend changing the character's skin to the now trademark green.
