"Chemo" unleashed

Was reading "Infinite Crisis" a few days ago and finally saw "Chemo" in ink. It was tasked by the villains to pollute an entire city and kill all inhabitants in it. Let's just say it completed its mission.
This is definitely my favourite C&C figure of all! Thanks "Mr Marshmallow" for contributing to this fig. I had to clear some space for this gigantic fig and unfortunately the "Fantastic Four" set fell victim and had to be kept.

"Deadshot" unleashed

With the arrival of the last remaining part of "Chemo", I had to crack open the other parts from their respectives packages. Of the figures I bought to build "Chemo", "Deadshot" was the figure other than "Wildcat" that I was vaguely interested in. I first saw him in action against "Batman" in the animated movie "Batman Gotham Knight". Though the styling of the character in the movie and in the comic book is different, this figure still got some of my attention as an essential figure needed to build the C&C.
He is an interesting addition to my "Batman Rogues Gallery". Besides committing crimes for money, he is occasionally engaged by the US government as a member of the "Suicide Squad" for missions.

"Black Canary"

Got a surprise today... was expecting a package from my fav US seller, "Adam", but ended up collecting "Black Canary" instead which I bought online just before Xmas. An added bonus is the lower torso of "Chemo" which was the last remaining C&C part I needed.
I have to say that "Black Canary" is awesome. Her stockings comprises of real mesh stockings which makes her quite unique and provides a different texture to the standard plastic figures. My only gripe is that her skin tone is a bit too dull and they could have sculpted her so that she can be posed with her hands cupped around her mouth mimicking her trademark sonic scream attack. Kinda reminds me of my ex-gf... except that "Back Canary" is a heroine. Haha.

"Juggernaut" vs "Colossus"

Chanced upon 2 extremely rare "Marvel Legends" figures... "Juggernaut" and "Colossus". I knew I had to have both even though I already own a loose "Colossus". These 2 are definitely the catch of the day.

"Hourman"

This 10" "Hourman" from the "Justice League Unlimited" series was going for a steal. I couldn't resist getting him because of his chunky form similar to my 10" "Batman". The cloth hood and cape was an added incentive.

"Hal Jordan" exclusive

Managed to secure this "Toys"R"Us" exclusive "Hal Jordan" loose without his lantern. It is from the same mould as the version I already own but it has a glossier green paint job. I bought "Mongul" from the "Yellow Lantern Corps" for "Dr Giggles".
My "Green Lanterns". I originally couldn't put my finger on it as to what is weird about the exclusive "Hal"... I finally figured it out... they painted irides on it.

"Blackest Night: Hal Jordan"

I already own a few variations of "Hal Jordan" but I couldn't resist securing this version because it has a different head and body sculpt... not to mention that other grown men were furiously grabbing it from the poor girl who works in "G&B Comics" and that got me wanting a piece of the action.

"Chemo" WIP II

"Mr Marshmallow" gave me "Wild Cat" and "Mantis" as my Xmas gifts. Awesome!!!
This leaves me with only the lower torso of "Chemo" to secure. I hope that my "Black Canary" is on her way from the US with that specific piece.

"Imperiex"

I have been wanting this C&C fig ever since I saw "Imperiex" on the "Cartoon Network" whilst vacationing in Bintan earlier this year. I finally secured this fig from "Toy Realm" at almost half the price. Thanks Vincent.

"Chemo" WIP

I have managed to secure "Guardian", "Deadshot" and the left leg of "Chemo". I am halfway through completing the C&C fig.
A post on the completed fig when my mission is accomplished.

"Batman Reborn: Azrael"

"Mohawk Mayhem" got me this awesome fig on behalf of the entire CG for my birthday. It is a perfect companion to my "Jason Todd" fig of the same series.

STGCC 2010

Had an awesome birthday at STGCC!!! Met Ivan Brandon and Harvey Tolibao... got their autographs signed on their artwork. Harvey is one down-to-earth guy... very friendly and he took effort in drawing on my graphic novel.
I met my dream gal. She was busy promoting this new online game so I didn't get a chance to talk to her.
My fav toy supplier, Vincent, from "Toy Realm". Other interesting stuff from the event.
Cosplayers posing. STGCC stamp on my arm for re-entry.

"Batman: Streets of Gotham" #15

Acquired this comic book by Ivan Brandon for him to autograph this Friday. I initially wanted to get a graphic novel by Ivan but the comic book shop didn't have any stock. I do like the "Two-Face" cover so it was a nice alternative.

"The Spectre" unleashed

I did not crack open my earlier purchase but instead chanced upon a loose piece today at a good price. I now have it on display and its freaking awesome seeing it glow in the dark. You can vaguely make out the glow in the pic.

"Chemo"

The opportunity to buy this C&C figure was presented to me but I failed to grab it with both hands and I'm now living to regret it. I definitely want this fig but not at an exorbitant price.

"X-Men: Second Coming - Revelations"

The summary on the back of this graphic novel combined with the awesome cover art convinced me to get it at the bazaar held at 8Q today.
I'm going to get Harvey Tolibao to autograph it on Friday @ STGCC.

"Bishop"

"Bishop" is from the future and travelled back in time to chase a criminal. He joins the "X-Men" of our present who were the heroes of his youth.
He is one bad*** dude and fits right in with the rest of my "X-Men".

"Death of Captain America" reviewed

Finally finished reading this novel and I have to say I appreciate the twist that resulted in the "Cap's" death. It also explains the rational behind packaging "Black Widow" and the "Winter Soldier" as a 2 pack. It made me value the box set and decide not to crack it open.

"Marvel Legends: Black Widow & Winter Soldier"

Finally got this "Toys"R"Us" exclusive box set from "Toy Realm". Thanks to Vincent for reserving it for me. The only incentive to hunt high and low for this 2 pack was the "Black Widow" fig. Definitely a worthy "Fans' Choice" winner.
The box is torn at one corner because of rough treatment during shipping but I'm currently on the fence about taking out the "Black Widow" to display. If I do decide to take her out, I will probably sell off the "Winter Soldier" fig.

"Secret files: Mr Freeze"

I already owned this character prior to securing this version. I decided to get this classic look to compliment the modern and bulkier variant I already had on display.
The card was already creased when I collected it and I decided to take the fig out. The helmet is detachable and this is a nice differentiation. The smaller weapon is also a nice change from the huge cannon held by the other make.
I retook "Catwoman" with her goggles up to show her eyes and bangs. "Two-Face" is still my favourite "Batman" baddie of all. My "Batman Rogues Gallery" is slowly becoming more complete. I'm keenly awaiting the arrival of "Man-Bat" and my custom "Joker". I'm also searching for the "Poison Ivy" from the "Secret Files" series. I need to find a good "Penguin" too.
