"A day in the life of Peter Parker"

This is my display for round 1 of the A.C.B.A. World Championship Tournament 2012/2013.

Images of the display.

"Dead"

A very under-rated character and figure. I love the regular version so much that I had to get this variant.

"Western shoot-out"

Saw "Jonah Hex" in an episode of "Batman: The Brave and the Bold". Didn't catch the movie as I believe it went straight to DVD.
Love the fig with the insane details and 2 firearms. Wish the revolver was made of steadier plastic and that the bottom of his top was flexible to permit better posing.
I'm trying to depict a "Western shoot-out" in this display.

"Destroyer"

Finally got my hands on a "Destroyer" fig. Been wanting one since I watched the "Thor" movie even though the fig itself is quite plain and limited in posing possibilities.
Collected it from "Mindless" together with the "Neon" prop that came with the "Select" version of the "Punisher". Also collected the "Pinball" machine from that same set. I wish they could have made this sign with a light up feature. That would have been cool.

"Assassins"

Was reading up on "Hit-Monkey's" background and discovered that he had a "face-off" with "Bullseye" thus inspiring this panel display.
Can't get enough of this fig. Haha.

"Hyperion"

Saw him in an issue of "Thunderbolts" led by "Luke Cage". Made sense to feature him in a display with "Crossbones" who was a member of that team.
The head sculpt and cape is new but there's nothing extraordinary with the rest of the fig.

"Red She-Hulk"

Had no clue this was "Betty Ross" till I spoke to one of the guys from the trading group.
Decided to keep her because she's related to "Red Hulk" aka "General Ross". Wish they were consistent with the colour tones.
I may yet decide to let go of the entire wave 3 because I am under-whelmed by the figs.

"Hit-Monkey" reloaded

It's the "Chinese New Year" long weekend and watched "Journey to the West" directed by "Stephen Chow" today. Not a bad interpretation of the classic by "Stephen".
It's the year of the "Snake" but I decided to redo my "Hit-Monkey" display because of the movie. Added the "flare" and the "cut-out".

"Play Arts: Arkham City Catwoman" unleashed

Finally unleashed the 3rd "Play Arts" figure that I own. I have to say she is the best in terms of sculpt and accessories. She comes with 3 pairs of interchangeable hands and a whip.
The "Agent 47" fig has a special place in my heart because he is my favourite character outside of the DC as well as the "Marvel" universes and the "Play Arts" fig is the only articulated version of him out there. However, I was a tad disappointed with his head sculpt.
It was a no brainer to pose "Selina" with the "Joker" because they are from the same storyline and are in scale.

"Playful"

Continuing the A.C.B.A. theme for February... I decided to pose "Black Canary" playfully punching "Green Arrow" in the face for this "Polaroid" pic.

"Dynamic Duo" reloaded

Not the first time I've done a display featuring "Booster Gold", "Skeets" and "Ted Kord" but I believe this version is definitely superior.
The "cut-outs" are funnier too.

"Uncle Sam & Doll Man"

I'm a fan of "Uncle Sam" since I saw him in "Infinite Crisis". Don't know much about "Doll Man" but I had to get this fig since I knew he was being released in the "DC Signature" series.
This fig has already been reviewed multiple times and I do agree with the comments of the other reviewers. I wish they could have provided interchangeable hands with a closed fist and one with an index finger pointing. An alternate head with slicked back hair would have been nice with a removable top hat like "Zatanna".
Paid for "Elasti-Girl" and "Black Mask" from the "DC Signature" line but they have been delayed due to postage issues. Looking forward to the "Phantom Stranger" too.

"Hit-Monkey"

Not crazy about the mini BAF idea but "Hit Monkey" scores high on the fun factor. His left leg is extremely loose though but a cool fig nonetheless due to his obscurity.
Never seen him in the comics before and I hope to get a chance to.
