"Immortal"

Spoiler alert!!!
Was inspired by a storyline where "Iron Fist" took over the mantle of "Daredevil" whilst "Matt Murdock" was incarcerated. I love how the flame effect turned out.

"Street fighter"

Besides reading "Under the Red Hood" this afternoon, I caught up on "Daredevil" too. He is easily my favourite "Marvel" character. I love that he is a blind superhero, his awesome red suit and the intense storyline. I'm surprised that I've never done a fight scene featuring him.
I had to match him up with his nemesis "Bullseye" this round as I've done prior ones involving "Kingpin".

"Guilt"

Spent my day off at the library this afternoon catching up on my reading. Re-read "Under the Red Hood" and was inspired to use the black and grey "Bats" with the movie "Alfred" fig in my own interpretation of a scene from the graphic novel.
I heard rumours that "Red Hood" will be released under the "DC Signature" series. I seriously am dying to own one.

"The Bat Man"

Initially thought of placing the classic "Batman" with the "New 52" one but opted for the latest version in a standalone "Vanilla" pose.
Amazing how props can really enhance a picture.

"Ionic"

Wanted to highlight this figure's "ionic" form so I harnessed an LED light to try and produce that effect. This version is far more interesting than the regular one but I guess I can still use that for portrait displays perhaps?

"Hit Monkey" wave

Chanced upon the 3 figs needed to get all "Hit Monkey" BAF parts when I collected "Catwoman" from "Toy Realm".
Decided to secure them since getting a complete "Hit Monkey" would either be pricey or difficult. Will crack open the figs soon to assemble the BAF and keep "Hyperion" since he does make an appearance in the "Thunderbolts" storyline.

"Play Arts: Arkham City Catwoman"

I don't own a "Jim Lee" style "Catwoman" in 1:12 scale so I had to get this version from "Play Arts".
I am planning to keep this fig "on ice" first due to the huge haul I received from "Mindless" and have yet finished posing the figs from that batch.

"Obey"

Decided to create a display with my custom "Iron Patriot" and visualised this scene where "Norman" is trying to get control over a raging "Venom".
I am happy with the result. Love these new figs from "Mindless".

"Art imitates life"

Decided to do a display that wasn't related to "Superheroes" or "Villains". This is a case of art imitating life as I tried to replicate how "Smartphones" have invaded our lifes and impacted our social behaviour.
This is a scene commonly seen in public today.

Haul!!!

Bittersweet day. Visited "Mindless" to select what figs I wanted to inherit from him because he was downsizing. Still can't believe he is letting go of his figs because he is more passionate about collecting and A.C.B.A. than I am.
The huge haul comprises of the MS Ultimate Venom, ML Maria Hill, ML Elektra, Buffy, custom Iron Patriot, ML Ionic variant Wonder Man, ML Nick Fury S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform, 2 ML S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, Dr. Egon Spengler, TRU Hulk, DCUC Batman, New 52 Batman and ML Magneto. Besides the figs, he sold me very nice props too. I will be spending the rest of the week to take individual pics of them.

"Kill 'im!"

Another fig struck off my "Holy Grail" list. Not only did I secure a "Doombot" but I received 2!!!
I've learnt my lesson from the past and patience does pay off. They were not cheap but I didn't pay over the top either. I'm very happy with the sculpt, detailing and the articulation. One of them has loose leg joints though but I still love them.
These would easily be in my "Best of 2013" list.

"Power struggle"

Been reading a few "X-Force" titles recently and these 2 characters are constantly at loggerheads with each other. Did this "Vanilla" display but it aptly portrays that struggle between the 2.
Surprisingly, this is the first "Cyclops" figure that I own after 3 years of collecting.

"Crane"

Didn't want to do a "Dark Avengers" display with "Ms Marvel" so opted for this "Crane" stance one instead. I think it's hilarious because she doesn't look impressed with "Danny Rand" aka "The Iron Fist".

"Night Vision"

Rushed out my entry for the "A.C.B.A. Showdown" event. Got the idea of this scene from "Mindless" and finally got down to executing it by unleashing 3 "Hydra Soldiers".
View without the "night vision" effect.
Entry vid here.

"Amazing Spider-Man"

Enjoyed the portrayal of "Spidey" by "Andrew Garfield" but was a tad disappointed that "Pete" kept revealing his identity to several parties during the movie.
Was enticed to get the "Select" fig from the movie line. Was pleasantly surprised by the articulation and the interchangeable hands. I wish the backdrop were taller and wider though. Added the webbing that I got from another "Spidey" fig.

"Evolution"

Dreamt up this display whilst unpacking "Red Robin" from the package that included the new "Supes".
I wanted to show the evolution of "Tim Drake" from "Robin" to "Red Robin" and included "Dick Grayson's" transition from "Nightwing" to "Batman".

"New 52: Superman"

I have yet to read the "New 52" but decided to get the "Superman" fig in his new suit where he no longer sports the iconic red underwear. Understand that they did away with "Lois Lane" too.
I was inspired to depict "Supes" attempting to land on a street to talk to a kid. I used the "Ben 10" fig that was on clearance at "Kiddy Palace" for this display.
I normally avoid editing my pics but I had to remove the unsightly reflection of the glass beneath the figs and the screws on the boy's back.

"Ultimate Captain America"

I spotted the new "Ultimate Cap" at TRU yesterday but I waited till today to pick it up as I had left my TRU vouchers at home.
Had high expectations for the figure and was also looking forward to the "Hit Monkey" BAF part too.
Standard new "Marvel Legends" packaging with artwork on the back of the card.
Disappointed upon opening the packaging as I discovered there was no BAF part and the fig itself left a lot to be desired. There were a few factors about the fig that bugged me as well as the fact that I got bored of it quickly.

"X-Force"

Recently read "X-Force" at the library and enjoyed it even though it was a tad bloody.
Bought the 2 pack mainly to get "Domino" for "X-Force" displays and found out that "Cannonball" was a former member whilst researching the team but this fig is not in the "X-Force" colours so I had him in a standalone "vanilla" pose.
The SDCC exclusive "X-Force" 3 pack arrived together in the same package and I was able to put together this display. Just realised that I didn't have a "cut-out" for the confrontation scene.
Modified the display and added a "cut-out".

"Invaders" reloaded

Received "Bucky" today and added him to my "Invaders" display.
Added a smoke "cut-out" to enhance the display.

"Man-At-Arms"

I grew up on cartoon classics like "Masters of the Universe" and I have been disciplined in resisting buying MOTU figures till now. I watched the awesome review by "Pixel Dan" and caved in.

"Man-At-Arms" is my favourite character from the series. I used to run home from school every week to catch this cartoon. I used to own the figures but my Dad gave them away when I was older. A pity as they are worth a lot now and would be nice to have as a comparison with the newer releases.
Belated birthday and Xmas present for myself. I am keeping this MOC.
